Medical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at SSM Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Responsibilities- Assist with patient examinations and treatments under the supervision of a registered nurse or provider.
- Interview patients, take vital signs, and record information on patient charts.
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and maintain a clean and organized environment.
- Perform basic clerical duties, including answering phones, maintaining records, and scheduling patients.
- Assist with ordering and stocking of supplies and perform basic materials management functions.
- Document patient encounters, including diagnoses, symptoms, and follow-up instructions.
- Transcribe patient orders, including laboratory tests, radiology tests, and medications.
- High School diploma or equivalent required; graduation from an accredited school of medical assisting preferred.
- No prior experience required, but a strong desire to learn and grow in a healthcare setting is essential.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, providers, and other healthcare team members.
