Role: Mechanical Project Manager - Engineering & Construction
The MWRA is in search of a Mechanical Project Manager specializing in Engineering & Construction. This role involves overseeing professional engineering and design initiatives aimed at the enhancement and capital improvement of water and wastewater facilities, with a significant emphasis on mechanical engineering and HVAC systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the planning and design stages of assigned rehabilitation and capital engineering projects.
- Conduct thorough reviews of engineering reports, work plans, designs, and cost estimates.
- Supervise and execute professional engineering tasks that require independent judgment and technical expertise.
- Oversee the selection and management of engineering consultants, including the formulation of service scopes and contract specifications.
- Ensure adherence to contract budgets, timelines, and conditions.
Qualifications:
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline, alongside five to seven years of experience in engineering design, project management, or construction, particularly within mechanical and HVAC systems for major water/wastewater facilities. Additionally, a minimum of two years in a supervisory role is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A valid Massachusetts Class D Motor Vehicle Operator's License is mandatory.
Compensation: $123,057.48
