Role: Mechanical Project Manager - Engineering & Construction

The MWRA is in search of a Mechanical Project Manager specializing in Engineering & Construction. This role involves overseeing professional engineering and design initiatives aimed at the enhancement and capital improvement of water and wastewater facilities, with a significant emphasis on mechanical engineering and HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the planning and design stages of assigned rehabilitation and capital engineering projects.
  2. Conduct thorough reviews of engineering reports, work plans, designs, and cost estimates.
  3. Supervise and execute professional engineering tasks that require independent judgment and technical expertise.
  4. Oversee the selection and management of engineering consultants, including the formulation of service scopes and contract specifications.
  5. Ensure adherence to contract budgets, timelines, and conditions.

Qualifications:

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline, alongside five to seven years of experience in engineering design, project management, or construction, particularly within mechanical and HVAC systems for major water/wastewater facilities. Additionally, a minimum of two years in a supervisory role is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A valid Massachusetts Class D Motor Vehicle Operator's License is mandatory.

Compensation: $123,057.48
