Donation Center Representative

Goodwill Industries of San Diego County is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Donation Center Attendant. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to donors, ensuring a positive experience for all who interact with our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Donation Center Operations: Open and close assigned donation center sites, as scheduled, according to department guidelines. Accept donations according to guidelines, providing excellent customer service to donors by greeting, assisting with accepting donations, and accurately completing donation receipts.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain the interior and exterior of the site in a clean and organized manner. Sweep the perimeter of the donation center site, store donations neatly inside the trailer, pick up debris and trash around the trailer. If applicable, empty and maintain the cleanliness of the Unattended Donation Center (UDC) at the site.
- Administrative Tasks: Accurately complete daily administrative tasks in a timely manner, including daily counts of all donors, sorting and submitting donation receipts on a scheduled basis, and all daily tally sheets.
- Donation Security: Safeguard all donations and company property from damage and theft. Treat all donations and company property with respect and care.
- Communication: Communicate accurately and in a timely manner to the appropriate Supervisor or Coordinator regarding supply needs, unusual or out-of-the-ordinary situations, and any safety concerns.
- Truck Loading: Safely and accurately load donations into bins and organize them inside the donation trailers. Assist Truck Helpers and Truck Drivers in loading donations into Goodwill trucks, if needed.
- Dispatch Communication: Communicate daily with Dispatch to inform them of current product volumes and any transportation/service needs.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
- Experience: Six months to one year of customer service-related experience preferred.
