Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Supervisor to join our team at Jackson Memorial Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a diagnostic section, including angiocardiography, neuroradiology, and emergency or clinic areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the work of Radiologic Technologists 1 and 2
  • Coordinate scheduling of patient flow and complete daily logs of activities
  • Train new technologists according to department protocol
  • Assist staff with in-service training and participate in instruction of Radiology Residents
  • Coordinate daily assignments with medical staff and supervise Dark-room, Medical Surgical Attendant, and/or Clerical Staff
  • Evaluate technical quality of results and assist in resolving technical or administrative problems
  • Order supplies and maintain inventory adequate for the unit
  • Detect equipment problems and initiate repairs according to department protocol
  • Approve leave of subordinate staff and counsel technologists on work-related matters
  • Recommend promotions, transfers, and disciplinary actions
  • Act as clinical instructor for the program in Radiologic Technology
Requirements
  • Valid Florida state license as a Radiology Technologist
  • ARRT Certification (employees hired before 2/1/2017 must obtain by 12/31/2019)
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification with at least 6 months' validity
