About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of exceptional healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for examination, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
  • Execute specialty radiologic examinations, utilizing advanced equipment and technology to produce high-quality images.
  • Assist radiologists and physicians in patient care during procedures, providing support and ensuring the smooth execution of exams.
  • Review patient medical records to verify physician orders prior to examination, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Cross-train in other specialty areas, departments, and facilities to enhance skills and contribute to the growth and development of our team.
  • Inspect films for quality, monitoring patient information and medical record numbers to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist in the training of new technologists and technical assistants, sharing knowledge and expertise to support the growth and development of our team.
  • Demonstrate competency and adherence to safety guidelines when operating specialized equipment, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Implement Standard Precautions on all patients, adhering to hospital policy and protocols.
  • Adjust to variable schedules and procedure techniques, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adhere to Mount Sinai Medical Center's established Personnel Radiation dosimeter Policy, ensuring compliance and safety.
  • Report equipment malfunctions to lead tech/supervisor and clinical engineering, prioritizing maintenance and ensuring optimal equipment performance.
  • Maintain and stock rooms with proper supplies necessary to complete radiologic examinations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and proper use of computer programs, particularly the HBOC system, to support data entry and administrative tasks.
  • Complete exam data entry on all studies performed, as well as any other necessary paperwork associated with each case.
  • Attend monthly department staff meetings, staying informed and engaged with the team.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) and hold a current Florida General Radiographer license from the Department of HRS Radiation Control. A graduate of an AMA Accredited Educational Radiologic Technology Program for Radiologic Technology or equivalent is also required. One year of clinical experience is preferred but not required.
