Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Custer State Park Resorts. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring the highest quality of food and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Menu Planning and Execution: Develop and implement menus that showcase our resort's culinary expertise and meet the expectations of our discerning guests.
  • Staff Management: Lead and motivate a team of culinary professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the receipt, storage, and rotation of food and beverage supplies, ensuring minimal waste and optimal inventory levels.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks to ensure that all food and beverages meet our high standards.
  • Cost Control: Manage kitchen expenses, including labor, inventory, and supplies, to maintain profitability.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all kitchen staff adhere to health and safety protocols, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to guest feedback and concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience: A minimum of 4 years of experience in a senior culinary role, with a degree in culinary arts or a related field.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in kitchen management software, inventory control systems, and food safety protocols.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
