POSITION SUMMARY

The Enterprise Risk Analyst will assist the Regional Risk Manager in executing the comprehensive risk management strategy for the North American Region. This position is crucial in ensuring adherence to the Risk Management Framework established by Coface Group while meeting local regulatory standards in the US and Canada. The role involves evaluating, reporting, and monitoring both operational and enterprise-wide risks, as well as identifying and assessing significant risks across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support enterprise risk assessment initiatives, including preparation for risk committee meetings, documentation of meeting minutes, and tracking of action items.
  • Assist in the operational risk management framework, including evaluating Level 1 controls, conducting Level 2 controls reviews with operational and risk stakeholders, identifying control deficiencies, and formulating and tracking remediation plans.
  • Engage in Group Risk Management projects and initiatives, ensuring local implementation aligns with global objectives.
  • Identify, analyze, and report on cybersecurity risks, overseeing vendor risk management and cybersecurity protocols.
  • Conduct in-depth risk mapping interviews with operational leaders, analyzing and interpreting data collected. Monitor and report on self-assessments of risk mapping conducted by operational teams.
  • Contribute to the Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) process through risk-related analyses, including portfolio evaluations and stress testing scenarios.
  • Oversee the evaluation, monitoring, and reporting of operational incidents and losses.
  • Manage the identification and assessment of critical risks affecting Coface North America.
  • Collaborate with operational teams on controls, risk assessments, and reporting of operational incidents.
  • Support internal and external reporting obligations and respond to ad-hoc requests from stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with business partners and executives through various mediums, including reports and presentations.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with support functions such as HR, Compliance, Finance, and Business Technology.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of risk management training for employees.
  • Ensure compliance with all risk-related policies and assist with internal audit inquiries.
  • Participate in departmental projects as required.
CANDIDATE PROFILE

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
  • 2 - 5 years of experience in insurance, finance, accounting, or risk management, preferably within the financial services sector.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance, International Business, or Risk Management.
  • Self-motivated, customer-oriented, and intellectually curious individual.
  • Proficient in spreadsheet applications and a strong command of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with the ability to utilize analytical and reporting tools to enhance internal processes.
  • Ability to work autonomously while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
  • Exceptional collaboration skills, fostering trust within the risk team and across the organization.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships throughout the enterprise.
  • Understanding of insurance financial accounting principles and practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information effectively.
  • Willingness to travel up to 5% as needed.
