The Role

We are seeking a skilled Credit Analyst to join our team in Princeton, NJ, or Hunt Valley, MD. As a Credit Analyst, you will be responsible for assessing the creditworthiness of buyers and producing Debtor Risk Assessments (DRAs).

You will work closely with Underwriters to maintain coherence between the DRA and the risk exposure, and will be responsible for monitoring a portfolio of companies with medium to large aggregation of credit risks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct financial statement analysis, credit report reviews, and Coface's own experience to assess creditworthiness
  • Produce DRAs, demonstrating analyzed information, contradictions, conclusions, and clear recommendations
  • Liaise with Underwriters to ensure timely responses to DRA revision requests and maintain Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Monitor risk and update assessments upon receipt of alerts from internal and external sources
  • Participate in maintaining the accuracy and consistency of our database of companies
  • Build and maintain good working relationships with Underwriting and Information colleagues
  • Communicate adverse information relevant to exposure reviews
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and procedures
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or equivalent, with knowledge of financial analysis and ability to read and interpret balance sheets and income statements
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a credit analyst role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to ask lead-in and follow-up questions
  • Strong computer literacy, including MS Office, Excel, and Internet search
  • Ability to work collaboratively and share information
About the Role

This is a hybrid role, with 2 days onsite and 3 days remote. You will be working with a close-knit, international team at the core of the global economy.

As a Credit Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including vendor management, back-office management, and internal trainings.
