As a Security Specialist at UVM Home Health, Inc., you will be assigned to a designated campus area. Your primary duties will include conducting regular patrols, responding promptly to both emergency and non-emergency situations, and accurately documenting all services rendered during your shift. It is essential that you maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.

EMERGENCY RESPONSE:

In instances of emergency, you will often be required to take charge in managing potentially violent or threatening situations, particularly after attempts have been made by clinical and non-clinical staff to verbally de-escalate the scenario. Your role may involve the necessary actions of detaining or restraining individuals who pose a risk to themselves or others.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

EXPERIENCE PREFERENCES:

Previous experience in security or public safety is preferred, particularly in environments that demand the maintenance of safety and dignity amidst stressful circumstances involving a diverse group of patients, visitors, and staff.
