We are seeking a skilled Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team at Buffalo General Hospital/Gates Vascular Institute, specifically within a bustling cardiothoracic surgical unit in the CVICU.
This full-time role entails a rotation of 13-hour shifts, covering days, nights, and weekends, three times a week, with no on-call responsibilities.
The preferred candidate will have a background in cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, or ICU management. Prior experience is highly valued. Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays is essential.
Qualifications include:
- Prior experience in cardiology or emergency department/ICU settings is preferred.
- Management of post-operative cardiac and thoracic surgery patients, including ECMO, IABP, Impella, and preoperative surgical assessments.
- A patient-focused, inquisitive, compassionate, independent approach dedicated to enhancing patient health outcomes.
- Board certification.
- New York State licensure.
- DEA certification.
