Job Summary:


The Physician Assistant will be available to the medical service to evaluate patients with acute problems, perform minor procedures, collect blood specimens, and participate in other activities assigned by the Department of Medicine.


Responsibilities:



  • Evaluate patients with acute problems and perform minor procedures as needed.
  • Collect blood specimens and participate in other activities assigned by the Department of Medicine.
  • Work collaboratively with the medical team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Requirements:



  • Current NYS registration as a Registered Physician Assistant and American Heart Association-Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • One year of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant preferred.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required for PA's in Cardiothoracic, Medical, Neuro, and Surgical ICU's.
  • Internal and external applicants must have a minimum of nine months of comparable work experience within two years of the time the per diem job is posted.
