Key Responsibilities:

  • Warmly greet all guests upon arrival (using their names when possible) and express gratitude to those departing.
  • Ensure the host stand and entrance area are clean and organized.
  • Manage phone inquiries and handle reservation requests.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as assigned by the Manager on duty.
  • Efficiently seat guests in accordance with company protocols.
  • Communicate clearly and courteously with guests regarding wait times or delays.
  • Maintain menus and wine lists in pristine condition for presentation.
  • Offer a warm farewell to guests with a quality assurance statement: 'Enjoy your meal.'
  • Provide reservation updates and inform management of special requests and large parties.
  • Address any guest concerns or complaints by involving management.
  • Relay special requests or celebrations to servers and management promptly.
  • Guide guests to their tables at a comfortable pace.
  • Regularly check and maintain cleanliness in restrooms, restocking supplies as necessary.
  • Adhere to grooming and dress code standards.

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a hosting or restaurant role within a high-volume setting.
  • Strong organizational skills and a professional demeanor.
  • Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods.
  • Quick thinking and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A strong work ethic, genuine hospitality, and a collaborative spirit.
  • Open to constructive feedback and performance evaluations.

Physical Requirements:

  • This position requires visual acuity, auditory skills, verbal communication, reaching, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. The role involves sitting, standing, and moving intermittently throughout the shift, with or without reasonable accommodations.
