Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cook Line ll to join our culinary team at Tamarack Resort. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and executing high-quality food production in accordance with our standards and plating guide specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Head Cook/Sous Chef to review assignments, anticipate business levels, and communicate effectively during busy periods.
  • Prepare menu items following recipes and yield guides, minimizing waste and maintaining controls to achieve forecasted food costs.
  • Review work status and follow-up actions with the Head Cook before leaving.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to guests, employees, and business partners.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the resort's rules and enforce them accordingly.
  • Keep the facility clean and free of hazards, debris, and trash, including other custodial duties.
  • Cook foodstuffs in quantities according to menu and number of persons to be served.
  • Clean and maintain all kitchen appliances and surfaces.
  • Take inventory as necessary.
Qualifications

We require previous experience and a minimum formal education of a high school diploma. Certification to handle food is also necessary. Excellent customer service focus and communication skills are essential. The ability to read, speak, and write in English is required.

This role requires the ability to execute precise knife skills, work proficiently in entry-level stations, and cook to correct temperatures. The successful candidate will be able to work the griddle, pantry, or deep fryer during peak periods while maintaining quality and consistency.
