Oncology Unit Charge Nurse

About the Role:
As a Unit Charge Nurse in our Medical Oncology department, you will play a critical role in leading our team of healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care. This is a clinical leadership position that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and direct the daily operations of a specific shift on the clinical unit.
- Supervise staff and facilitate communication with physicians and internal administrators to provide optimal patient and family-centered care.
- Identify the need for revision and evaluate the effectiveness of operational forms.
- Provide and coordinate the resources needed within the unit to provide optimal patient outcomes.
- Ensure compliance and adherence with stated policies and procedures for the unit.
- Remain informed of innovative clinical trends through benchmarking and evidence-based practice.
Requirements:
- Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Two years experience as an RN with a minimum of two years of experience in the area of concentration.
- Must have a valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board. Certification preferred.
- BLS required and ACLS may be required in designated departments.
