Job Summary

The Kansas 4-H Foundation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to lead the operations of Rock Springs Ranch, a premier camp, conference, and retreat center. As a key member of the Kansas 4-H Foundation team, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to ensure the continued success and growth of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Provide visionary leadership and management to the Rock Springs Ranch team, ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service and experiences for guests.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve organizational goals and objectives, aligning with the Kansas 4-H Foundation's mission and vision.
  • Financial Management: Oversee the financial management of Rock Springs Ranch, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Marketing and Promotion: Develop and implement effective marketing and promotion strategies to increase visibility and revenue for Rock Springs Ranch.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and develop a team of operational and programmatic directors, ensuring their success and growth in their roles.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Communications, Park Operation Management, Hotel/Restaurant Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of four years of successful and progressive business management experience, preferably in the camp or hospitality industry.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.
Work Environment

The Executive Director will reside on grounds in provided housing, with a private backyard and finished basement. The role requires work outside of normal office settings, with unique hours and on-call status.

Compensation

Compensation will be a salary of $70,000-$90,000, with benefits including 403(b) with organization contribution and match, health, dental, and life insurance, PTO, and professional development. Housing is provided on the grounds at Rock Springs Ranch.
