This position will lead the scholarship unit within the Office of Student Financial Aid (OSFA) at Kansas State University. The Associate Director will support and contribute to the University's Enrollment Management (EM) objectives by guiding the day-to-day administrative operations associated with the coordinated awarding, delivery, and reconciliation of institutional, state, and privately sourced scholarships and merit-based tuition waivers.
The Associate Director will supervise four full-time staff members within the scholarship unit, ensuring that they provide excellent service to prospective and current students and their families, and other constituencies. This role will also coordinate the vast network of scholarship awarding departments across campus.
The Associate Director will serve as the OSFA's primary expert and resource on scholarship matters to internal constituents, including the Office of Recruitment & Admissions, Office of the Registrar, University Athletics, Housing & Dining Services, K-State Foundation, K-State Alumni Association, and Scholarship Coordinators across University colleges and departments.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the scholarship unit and supervise staff members
- Coordinate the awarding, delivery, and reconciliation of scholarships and merit-based tuition waivers
- Provide excellent service to students and their families
- Collaborate with various marketing and communication entities to execute messaging
- Identify and leverage system efficiencies within the scholarship unit
- Bachelor's Degree
- Five or more years of relevant experience
- Master's Degree
- Six or more years of full-time employment within an Office of Student Financial Assistance
- Past experience administering institutional scholarships
- Working knowledge of Oracle Corp. Campus Solutions and Blackbaud's Award Manager
