Job Summary:

SpecialtyRx is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team. As a Pharmacist at SpecialtyRx, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality pharmacy services to our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Medication Evaluation: Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness, ensuring that medications are dispensed correctly and safely.
  • Medication Management: Maintain accurate records of medication dispensing, labeling, and storage.
  • Therapy Recommendations: Make recommendations for therapy changes to physicians and healthcare staff, as needed.
  • Customer Database Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer databases, including medical history and clinical data.
  • Medication Queries: Investigate and resolve medication-related queries from customers and healthcare staff.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with healthcare staff, physicians, and other team members regarding medication-related matters.
  • Medication Preparation: Supervise the preparation of medications, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Security and Compliance: Maintain proper security conditions for medications and adhere to regulatory requirements.
  • On-Call Duties: Perform on-call duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Pharmacist: Must be a licensed pharmacist in the state of Alabama.
  • Long-Term Care Experience: Previous experience in long-term care is preferred.
  • Pharmacy Experience: Previous experience in hospital and retail pharmacy or other medical fields is required.
  • Analytical and Communication Skills: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in computer software and systems.
  • Framework/ECM Software Knowledge: Knowledge of framework/ECM software is a plus.

Work Type: Per Diem
