Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at SpecialtyRx. As a Pharmacy Technician - Data Entry Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our pharmacy operations.

• Work under the direction of a supervisor to maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient information, medication inventory, and order fulfillment.
• Utilize your experience working with Controlled Drugs (Narcotics) to maintain a secure and compliant environment.
• Maintain floor stock, restock, and remove expired medications to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
• Rotate stock of medication areas to ensure quality controls and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Prepack and package medications for floor bulk prescriptions and ensure accurate labeling and packaging.
• Package and ship medications to patients and healthcare facilities in a timely and efficient manner.
• Collaborate with the pharmacy team to maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
• Enter new orders for staff pharmacist review and ensure accurate and timely processing.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate customer information, including demographic and medication history data.
• Generate labels for dispensing and ensure accurate and efficient labeling and packaging.
• Answer phone inquiries and respond to order requests in a professional and courteous manner.
• Clarify orders as needed and ensure accurate and timely processing.
• Triage incoming faxes and ensure timely and accurate processing.
• Complete any other tasks assigned by the supervisor to ensure the smooth operation of the pharmacy.

• Licensed AL Pharmacy Technician required.
• Previous pharmacy experience preferred.
• Previous data entry experience preferred.
• Must be reliable and able to execute multiple tasks assigned.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to physically perform light lifting.
• Knowledge of brand name and generic medications.
• Ability to work independently, accurately, and efficiently.
• Knowledge of SIG-Codes.
• Quick typing skills.
• Computer literate, knowledge of Frameworks LTC system, PLUS.
