Responsibilities:

  • Work effectively under the guidance of a supervisor.
  • Maintain floor stock, ensuring proper restocking and removal of expired medications.
  • Rotate medication stock to uphold quality control standards.
  • Pre-package bulk prescribed medications for distribution.
  • Package, fill, and ship medications accurately and efficiently.
  • Adhere to pharmacy standards and policies.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve pharmacy goals.
  • Enter new orders for pharmacist review and approval.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate customer information.
  • Generate labels for dispensing medications.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to order inquiries promptly.
  • Clarify orders as needed to ensure accuracy.
  • Process incoming faxes efficiently.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Active Alabama Pharmacy Technician license required.
  • Previous pharmacy experience is preferred.
  • Data entry experience is beneficial.
  • Demonstrated reliability and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform light lifting as required.
  • Knowledge of brand name and generic medications.
  • Proven ability to work independently, accurately, and efficiently.
  • Familiarity with SIG-Codes.
  • Proficient typing skills.
  • Computer literacy and experience with Frameworks LTC system is a plus.
