The role of a Gas Pipeline Technician is essential for the development, upkeep, and repair of natural gas distribution systems. Key responsibilities include the assembly of pipe casings, installation of vault lids, and fitting of various pipe components. The technician will support the team in managing gas pipeline operations, ensuring compliance with quality standards, overseeing inventory control, and providing training on proper pipe assembly techniques.
Job Requirements
Candidates should possess at least a high school diploma and a minimum of one year of relevant experience in gas pipeline work. Preferred qualifications include a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and over two years of hands-on experience in the field.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
This position requires the ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, climbing, and lifting in various environmental conditions. Applicants should be capable of lifting weights up to 50 pounds and demonstrate excellent hand-eye coordination.
