Accounts Payable Clerk Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team at Edw. C. Levy, a unique 100-year-old family-owned company that transforms recycled products into construction materials and more.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-4 years of accounts payable experience and knowledge of basic office equipment, computer skills, and accounting functions. They will be responsible for entering invoices accurately and on a timely basis, compiling and verifying accounts payable data, and distributing accounts payable data.

The successful candidate will also have basic math skills, familiarity with Oracle applications, and the ability to research and correct problems. They will assist internal and external customers with issues and requests, maintain accounts payable records, and perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Enter invoices accurately and on a timely basis
  • Compile and verify accounts payable data
  • Distribute accounts payable data
  • Balance numeric data
  • Maintain accounts payable records
  • Run various accounting reports
  • Research and correct problems
  • Assist internal and external customers with issues and requests

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of accounts payable experience
  • Knowledge of basic office equipment
  • Basic computer skills, including Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of accounting functions
  • Basic math skills
  • Familiarity with Oracle applications
