Financial Operations Manager

Job Summary

This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the company's financial operations are in line with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The Financial Operations Manager will be responsible for setting accounting policies, completing month-end close, and executing the year-end audit. This individual will work closely with the Controller and CFO to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP
  • Oversee the preparation and evaluation of financial operating reports, including the presentation of findings and recommendations to senior management
  • Prepare and review journal entries, corporate financial/statutory reporting, and general ledger reconciliations
  • Supervise and prepare account analysis, examine, review, and interpret accounting records to prepare financial statements
  • Coordinate the monthly, quarterly, and annual close functions, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Work with external auditors to ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
  • Direct and integrate changes in processes into the accounting systems and cycle
  • Review contracts to ensure accurate billing and revenue recognition
Requirements
  • CPA certification
  • BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant general ledger and financial analysis experience
  • Preferred: MBA or Master's degree, Great Plains Software experience, and process improvement experience
Work Environment

This is a sedentary position that requires 8 hours of sitting at a desk in a climate-controlled environment with frequent computer, mouse, 10-key touch, and phone work.

This is a hybrid position located in Lewisville, TX.
