Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Carle Foundation Hospital. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures, conducting imaging studies, and collaborating with the radiology team to interpret and communicate findings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and specialized nuclear medicine procedures for patients of all ages.
  • Conduct nuclear medicine imaging studies to confirm or deny the necessity of required treatment.
  • Utilize independent judgment to adapt procedures for specific diagnostic outcomes.
  • Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during nuclear medicine examinations.
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients as required for imaging.
  • Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment to obtain accurate diagnostic results.
  • Collaborate with the radiology team to interpret and communicate nuclear medicine findings.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of nuclear medicine procedures and patient information.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Radiology or a related field.
  • Nuclear Medicine Tech Certification (NMTCB) within 1 year of hire.
  • IL State License in Nuclear Medicine or Temporary required upon hire.
  • BLS within 30 days of hire.
