Overview

As a Radiology Nursing Specialist, you will provide essential, knowledge-based care to patients while enhancing your technical competencies. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care tailored to the specific needs of patients across various age groups.

Your role will involve coordinating care with a focus on patient education, self-management, and satisfaction throughout the healthcare continuum.

You will administer medications and procedures in accordance with established protocols and guidelines, contributing to positive care outcomes by collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver individualized nursing care, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored care plans.
  • Provide education to patients and families regarding invasive procedures.
  • Monitor and record patient conditions during all phases of care.
  • Administer moderate sedation and perform hemodynamic monitoring.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:
  • A current, unrestricted nursing license from any U.S. state or territory.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Experience in Interventional Radiology is preferred.
  • ACLS and BLS certifications are required.

Work Environment

This position requires the ability to work in a dynamic healthcare setting, which may involve prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting. You will be expected to adhere to safety protocols, including the use of protective equipment.
