As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine blood tests, preparing specimens for microscope examination, and operating laboratory equipment such as centrifuges, dry bath incubators, and blood bank refrigerators. This role requires a high level of experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, with a certain degree of creativity and latitude expected. Typically, you will report to a supervisor or manager.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform manual and automated routine blood tests
• Prepare specimens for microscope examination
• Operate laboratory equipment, including centrifuges, dry bath incubators, and blood bank refrigerators
Requirements:
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician program
• ASCP certification
• Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
