Job Title: Field Controls Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Controls Engineer to join our team at Acara Solutions. As a Field Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for supervising the installation and startup of machines at our clients' plants, maintaining all working components, and performing field trouble shooting on both warranty and repair orders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise installation and startup of machines at customers' plants
  • Maintain all working components as determined by customers' needs
  • Travel to customers' locations to supervise installation of our machines and perform startup of new machines
  • Perform field trouble shooting on both warranty and repair orders
  • Review jobs in the shop as production is in progress for possible field service problems
  • Assist engineering department with machine runoffs and pre-ship program checks
  • Perform electrical fault/functions on customer's machinery, including PLC
  • Work in various software systems
  • Assist with machine debug and run off on our floor
  • Train other employees and/or customers on machines
  • Prepare service reports on jobs in the fields
  • Assist Field Service Supervisor when required
