About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Psychologist to join our team as a Clinical Training Director at Adena Health System in Chillicothe, OH.

Job Summary

The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of clinical training programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining strong relationships with trainees, supervisors, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage clinical training programs, including creating training manuals, guides, and schedules
  • Collaborate with the GME DIO to achieve program goals and objectives
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for trainees and supervisors regarding Training Department-related questions
  • Coordinate annual hiring procedures, including job postings, establishing hiring committees, and creating applicant rating systems
  • Manage the annual supervisor selection and assignment process, ensuring proper supervision ratios
  • Establish and coordinate site and training roles for trainees/interns, setting caseload ramp-up schedules
  • Liaise with Practice Managers to ensure room assignments, work schedules, credentialing, and other legal or insurance requirements are met prior to trainee start dates
  • Coordinate End-of-Term evaluations for trainees and supervisors
  • Collaborate with HR/IS on onboarding and orientation processes
  • Facilitate exit interviews for trainees/interns
  • Perform ongoing review, analysis, and improvement of the Adena GME Psychology Training Department's overall health, success, and sustainability
Pre-Doctoral Internship Formation Specific Responsibilities
  • Create a doctoral-level internship program with the goal of APPIC and future APA accreditation
  • Develop and lead a Psychology Internship Committee, delegating tasks and facilitating committee activities
  • Manage the application process to APPIC membership, achieving and maintaining good standing as an APPIC Accredited Site
  • Manage the Match process with APPIC Internship annually
  • Create a self-study committee and manage the application process to APA (once qualified to apply), achieving and maintaining good standing as an APA Accredited Internship Site
  • Communicate with doctoral interns' home programs as needed
Additional Responsibilities
  • Provide weekly one-on-one check-ins with trainees, directly supervising active counseling
  • Lead weekly group supervision for doctoral interns, directly supervising group leadership
  • Participate in regular meetings, including weekly check-ins with Practice Directors, bi-weekly Licensed Supervision Consult groups, monthly Managers & Directors Leadership meetings, and monthly GMEC meetings
Requirements
  • A Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited university
  • Current Psychologist License in Ohio or license eligible
  • Minimum two years post-licensure clinical experience (required for supervising)
  • Fluent in Google, Microsoft Office, and WebEx products
  • Knowledge of general office machines, telephone systems, and information systems
  • Comfortable working paperless, using and saving files electronically
  • Competent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with others, maintaining discretion when dealing with confidential information
  • Able to follow all guidelines set by HIPAA and maintain compliance with Adena policy and protocol
  • Prior experience managing or significant leadership role within an APA Accredited doctoral Internship program is preferred
  • Prior experience managing or significant role related to navigating APPIC and/or APA Accreditation process is preferred
  • Prior experience managing or significant leadership role in program development is preferred
Compensation and Benefits

  • $10,000 sign-on bonus (up to $30,000 sign-on bonus depending on experience)
