Salary

The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $84,909.08 per year based on licensure and experience.

Job Description

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated professional who can empower youth and families by creating strength-based behavior change that will be sustained long after treatment ends. As a Youth and Family Therapist Specialist, you will work with families, youth, their communities, and other key members of their ecology to implement the Intensive Family and System Treatment (I-FAST) model.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct Clinical Treatment: Provide individual and family psychotherapy services using the IHBT/I-FAST model, focusing on leveraging strengths and understanding frames, patterns, and increasing mature behavior.
  • Client Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments to gather information on behaviors of concern and strengths in the family and their ecology, informing conceptualization of problem behaviors and interactions within the family's ecological context.
  • Cultural Factors: Work with families to define cultural factors influencing strengths, functioning, and family behaviors to ensure ongoing engagement and success in care.
  • Collaboration: Develop collaborative partnerships with community resources to meet the needs of each family and continuously engage primary caregivers, family members, supports, and community agency staff in change-oriented treatment.
  • Case Planning: Dedicate time to weekly case planning and evaluation of case progress, with ongoing support from your supervisor and team members.
  • Training and Development: Receive regular training, professional development, supervision, and consultation activities to acquire extensive clinical skills within the I-FAST model.
  • Documentation: Maintain necessary documentation, participate in program evaluation, attend team and program planning meetings, and cross-systems training, and acquire knowledge of community resources.
  • Billing Productivity: Meet billing productivity requirements established by Integrated Services for Behavioral Health.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Licensure: Must meet requirements for licensure as defined by the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage & Family Therapist Board.
  • Experience and Passion: Experience and passion for delivering services to youth and families, demonstrating a high degree of cultural awareness, and being comfortable working with diverse communities.
  • Knowledge of Community Resources: Knowledge of or experience engaging with families in the community and broad knowledge of community service systems.
  • Teamwork: Willing to participate in and lead cross-systems team-building activities.
  • Effective Communication: Able to effectively communicate through verbal/written expression.
  • Tech Skills: Must be able to operate in an Internet-based, automated office environment.
