Electronics Warfare Technician I

The Electronics Technician Maintenance I is responsible for the upkeep and operation of electronic systems. This role requires applying technical expertise to execute straightforward or routine tasks by adhering to comprehensive instructions.
Key responsibilities include replacing components and wiring circuits, repairing basic electronic devices, and conducting test measurements using standard instruments such as digital multimeters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, and oscilloscopes.
The technician operates systems under supervision and receives technical direction from supervisors or more experienced technicians as needed. Work is subject to verification for precision. The technician also engages in organizational and intermediate-level repairs under supervision and performs corrosion control on equipment and towers. This position requires cross-training and qualification to operate at least one additional Electronic Warfare system. Maintenance actions are documented in the Integrated Electronic Maintenance System (IEMS).Reporting Structure:
Reports to the Assigned Senior Technician or Supervisor. Additional duties may be assigned to fulfill the mission objectives.
Responsibilities and Duties
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in electronic maintenance is required, or 2 years of formal technical training may substitute for the experience. Relevant areas include: - Digital/Analog signal processing
- Synchroservo circuits
- Radar and Radar Theory
- Electromechanical devices
- Video signal processing and recording
- Communications (multiplexer equipment)
- Digital/Analog computer systems
- High Voltage power supplies
- Test equipment
- Optical equipment
- RF signal processing
- Antenna systems
- Low-voltage AC equipment
- Autotransfer (UPS) equipment
- Additional duties as assigned
Compensation: $27.16/hour
Essential Skills, Qualifications, and Certifications
- High School Diploma
- Must maintain current RF Radiation Awareness certification
- Current COMSEC certification eligibility
- Maintain Laser Safety certification
- Valid driver’s license without restrictions
- U.S. Citizenship with no multiple citizenships
- Must possess or be able to obtain a security clearance prior to employment and maintain it throughout employment
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical examination, including periodic retests
- Ability to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for assigned tasks
- Must meet the physical requirements necessary to perform operations outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Capable of lifting 50 lbs. unassisted
