Job Title: Part Time Evening LPNJob Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at The Glen in Queensbury, NY. As a part-time evening LPN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our residents, while also mentoring and supervising a team of resident assistants.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care to residents under the direction of the Nursing Director
  • Oversee and mentor a team of resident assistants
  • Pass medications to approximately 20 residents
  • Be able to self-direct with minimal guidance and prioritize tasks efficiently
  • Maintain detailed documentation and communicate changes in residents' needs to the team
  • Foster resident independence and freedom of choice
  • Education of families to make the most out of their visits with their loved ones
Requirements:
  • Valid NYS LPN license
  • 1+ year of experience working in a direct patient care role handling med passes
  • 1+ year of experience as a LPN, but willing to help train the right candidate to further their skills
  • Understanding of assisted living regulations
  • Maintain the highest level of customer service while completing day-to-day duties and responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively in a fast-paced work environment
  • Engage within a team setting
  • Strong leadership and mentorship of the Resident Assistant staff
  • Think, act, and intervene independently in both routine and emergency situations
  • Passion to learn, grow, and develop in the nursing field
