Care Attendant

Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Care Attendant to join our team at Knute Nelson. As a Care Attendant, you will provide high-quality personal care and ancillary services to residents in our assisted living environment. You will work closely with our residents, families, and staff to ensure a safe and supportive living environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Resident Living and Life Enrichment: Maintain a high-quality living environment that promotes the physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being of our residents. Engage residents in activities that promote their independence and dignity.
- Resident Care and Services: Provide individualized direct care to residents with activities of daily living, including showering, bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, transferring, fingernail care, and foot care. Assist with meals, restorative care, and life skills based on resident preferences and regulations.
- Admissions: Welcome and greet new residents, families, and friends. Ensure a smooth transition for new residents and provide assistance with orientation.
- Customer Meals: Assist with meal preparation, serving, and cleaning. Create a positive dining experience for our residents.
- Homemaking and Laundry: Maintain a clean and comfortable living environment. Assist residents with laundry and provide support with daily living tasks.
- A Minnesota CNA certification is preferred and may be required for some levels of assisted living.
- Critical thinking, interpersonal effectiveness, and teamwork skills are required.
- Must complete and pass a state-required background study.
- Able to physically perform the duties required by the position.
- Required to have the ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents, and visitors.
LPN or RN
