Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Communications Specialist to support our federal government clients. This role involves developing and implementing effective communication strategies to align leadership with strategic business planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and address vendor inquiries during steady state and disaster-response operations, tracking data and inputting information into a designated tool.
  • Educate local vendors through procurement education seminars to foster successful business participation.
  • Assist in coordinating business outreach events with DHS stakeholders and present information on how to do business with the agency.
  • Implement policy, tools, training, and programs to ensure regulation compliance.
  • Support stakeholder engagement to identify new training topics and provide recommendations on acquisition best practices.
  • Maintain accuracy and availability of content on collaboration platforms.
  • Coordinate with Contracting Officer Representatives, DHS program officials, and contractors to ensure seamless transition of initiatives.
  • Facilitate knowledge transition activities to support program and technical support services.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with at least eight years of experience in acquisition, or Master's degree with at least six years of experience.
  • Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) regulations and policies, including Homeland Security Acquisition Regulation (HSAR) and Homeland Security Acquisition Manual (HSAM).
  • Ability to train or convey technical jargon to non-technical individuals.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • U.S. Citizenship or Foreign National with a work permit and residing in the U.S. for three or more years.
  • Ability to pass a Federal Public Trust Clearance.
