Nursing Assistant Trainee

The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a Nursing Assistant Trainee to join our team of caring and compassionate staff. As a Nursing Assistant Trainee, you will be enrolled in a learning experience designed to develop the confidence and competence to serve as a caregiver that provides personal care to clients.
Key Responsibilities- Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, provide holistic client-centered care that promotes independence and client rights in a safe, caring, and efficient manner.
- Work within the role of a non-certified nursing assistant, assisting with basic health care needs and activities of daily living such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, undressing, obtaining vital signs, providing psychosocial support, and delivering other personal care as assigned.
- Assist clients with meals and snacks, provide water and nutritional supplements as appropriate, and assist with housekeeping, laundry services, and other duties as assigned within non-certified nursing assistant role.
- Communicate changes in client condition and care-related concerns to a licensed nurse, and document client care when appropriate.
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
- Minimum age of 16.
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
- When applicable, for applicable states, certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.
