Job Summary:

Soliant is seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to join our team in supporting elementary students with speech and language needs. As a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide direct therapy services, assist with the implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs), and collaborate with teachers and parents to enhance student communication and academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Speech and Language Therapy Services: Provide direct therapy services to elementary students as directed by the supervising SLP, utilizing evidence-based practices to support student communication and language development.
  • Assist with IEP Implementation: Assist in the preparation and organization of therapy sessions and materials, ensuring that IEP goals are met and student progress is accurately documented.
  • Collaborate with Teachers and Parents: Work effectively with teachers and parents to integrate communication strategies into classroom activities, ensuring that students receive comprehensive support and services.
  • Monitor and Document Student Progress: Regularly monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals, providing accurate and timely feedback to the supervising SLP and other stakeholders.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively with parents and staff regarding student progress and needs, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and engaged in the student's educational journey.

Qualifications:

  • Education and Certification: Associates or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or related field, and valid Texas SLPA license.
  • Experience and Skills: Experience working with children in a school setting preferred, strong organizational and communication skills, and ability to work effectively under the supervision of an SLP.
