Additionally, our system encompasses a psychiatric hospital, various specialty care centers, four residency programs, and nearly 40 affiliated physician practices.
Your Role:
Position Overview:
- Under the supervision of the Chief Therapist in Radiation Oncology, you will be responsible for simulating and administering daily radiation treatments to patients undergoing oncology care as directed by the Radiation Oncologist.
- You will serve as a crucial link between patients, their families, and the Radiation Oncologist, particularly in instances of adverse reactions or disease progression.
Reporting Structure:
- Reports to the Chief Therapist in Radiation Oncology.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Oversee Student Radiographers.
Qualifications:
Educational Requirements:
- Graduation from a program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology in radiation therapy.
Experience Requirements:
- No prior experience required.
Certification and Licensure:
- Certification as a Radiation Therapy Technologist from the State of Florida Department of Health.
- Active certification as a Radiation Therapist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists is required.
