Job Location: Position requires flexibility to float between multiple healthcare facilities.

Position Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Preferred Experience: Experience in Plastic Surgery is preferred. Proficiency in injections and blood draws is essential.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse will deliver patient care at designated Roper St. Francis Health Care locations, adhering to established protocols. Responsibilities include facilitating prompt communication of clinical guidance to patients via electronic means or telephone as directed by healthcare providers. Ensure that all necessary medical documentation is accessible to care teams and providers prior to patient appointments. Collaborate with team members to deliver outstanding patient service. Training will be provided on the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing program.

Experience: One to two years of nursing experience is preferred.

Licensure/Certification: Must hold a current Registered Nurse license in South Carolina or a valid compact/multi-state license in a recognized NCSBN Compact State. A current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card is required.

Primary Source Verification: Yes – or compact RN state licensing board.

Knowledge/Skills: Proficient in using clinical equipment such as EKG machines, spirometers, Hemocue, and Pulse Oximeters. Must possess a foundational understanding of medication policies and procedures, and effectively apply assessment skills for triage and patient care. Ability to assist physicians with outpatient procedures is essential. Strong focus on patient-centered care, with effective verbal and written communication skills. Capable of establishing and maintaining productive working relationships with patients, colleagues, and the public. Must be able to prioritize tasks and manage competing demands. Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment are necessary.

Contacts: Interactions with patients, physicians, and other healthcare staff.

Work Demands/Environment: The role involves intermittent standing, walking, and sitting. May require lifting or moving items up to 50 lbs and assisting with patient mobility. Frequent use of hand dexterity is necessary. Exposure to blood, body fluids, and other medical conditions typical of a healthcare environment is expected. Ability to read and comprehend medical information is essential. May require on-call duties or weekend/holiday work based on departmental needs. The position may involve working under stressful conditions and deadlines.
