Responsibilities and Qualifications

In collaboration with patients, their families, and the healthcare team, the Adult Acute Care Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and coordinating patient care to meet departmental goals. You will play a vital role within the interdependent team, ensuring positive outcomes for patients and the department.

Key Responsibilities:

· You will maintain overall accountability for your assigned patients.

· You will facilitate the efficient flow of patient care, including screening, preparation for examinations, providing general nursing care, and coordinating admissions, testing, and discharges.

· You will manage and review patient records, ensuring accurate documentation of tests and examination results.

· You will administer medications according to physician orders.

· You will educate patients and their families regarding medications and treatment plans.

· You will respond to and refer incoming calls, which may include phone triage as necessary.

Required Qualifications:

· Must be a graduate from an accredited nursing program: Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher is required.

· Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in the state of practice and/or possess an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.

· A current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross is required.
