Job Summary

The Engineering Support Supervisor role is responsible for leading a team of data analysts and engineering techs who support the completions engineering/operations team. This role involves managing projects to automate manual processes and produce data-driven insights for the team and stakeholders across the organization.

This position requires a self-starter with the ability to build cross-functional relationships and lead a team. The successful candidate will have expertise in SQL and Spotfire, with the ability to retrieve data from systems, create integrated datasets, and implement automated solutions for manual workflows.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of data analysts and engineering techs
  • Prioritize analyst team workload and provide technical support when necessary
  • Act as a business liaison and project manager across the organization
  • Coordinate with peers in alternative asset teams to provide corporate alignment on various processes
  • Provide data expertise on projects and lead data & analytics initiatives
  • Discover and troubleshoot data issues across sources and drive issues to resolution
  • Create complex datasets, visualizations, and tools
  • Mentor, train, and share knowledge across the team, department, and company
  • Work closely with IT leadership to develop strategies and plans to mature and advance data & analytics capabilities
  • Advises on and recommends data & analytics software improvements
  • Collaborate with engineers, geologists, and management to gather data/reporting requirements and build analytical datasets
  • Own, maintain, and enhance critical business intelligence applications and tools
  • Assist management in compiling quarterly and Board of Director meeting materials
  • Implement automated solutions to streamline manual team processes
  • Perform and automate data capture processes as necessary
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience within the Oil and Gas industry
  • Expert skills within Spotfire and SQL
  • An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field
  • Experience supervising a team of data professionals
  • Expert in developing automated workflows using UiPath, Grooper, FME, Alteryx, and/or similar applications
