Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled FPGA Engineer to join our team at TECO Westinghouse. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing firmware for control boards that communicate with each other.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of FPGA-based systems, ensuring compliance with company standards and customer requirements.
  • Develop and maintain FPGA design guidelines, tools, and methodologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate FPGA designs with other system components.
  • Conduct feasibility and cost analysis for new projects and provide project justification.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, papers, and presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Represent the company at technical conferences and industry events.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Physical Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 8-12 years of experience in FPGA design and development, with a strong focus on firmware development and integration with hardware.
  • Experience with C++ and Verilog programming languages.
  • Strong understanding of FPGA algorithms and data pipelining.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or Physical Science.
  • Experience with industry standards and regulations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a team of experienced engineers. The position requires daily contact with all levels of the company, including engineering, marketing, and factory operations.
