As a Mechanical Systems Maintenance Specialist within our Launch Operations team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the performance of our mechanical systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems within the power plant.
- Diagnose issues in both mechanical and electrical systems.
- Interpret and utilize schematics across various systems including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic.
- Perform additional tasks as necessary to ensure operational efficiency.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in reading blueprints and correlating them with physical components.
- Familiarity with generator sets and controllers.
- Knowledge of diesel mechanics and internal combustion engines.
- 5+ years of experience as a maintenance technician or field service engineer.
- Proficient in operating forklifts and other inventory equipment.
- Ability to use power tools, hand tools, and heavy machinery.
- Competence in reading and interpreting electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
- Strong report writing skills with advanced proficiency in MS Office.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of urgency.
- Analytical problem solver with the ability to implement effective solutions.
- Capable of managing work orders efficiently.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Quick learner with a strong aptitude for technical content.
- Excellent prioritization, analytical, and written communication skills.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform various physical tasks.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as required.
