Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete a thorough background check, including a review of driving history.
  • Safely operate vehicles in accordance with Massachusetts State Driving Regulations.
  • Assist in the handling and transportation of human remains, with the capability to lift and move weights up to 250 lbs.
  • Support the Medical Examiner during forensic autopsy procedures.
  • Adhere to established Standard Operating Procedures for autopsy services.
  • Accurately manage and label specimens.
  • Utilize autopsy and mortuary equipment effectively.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the autopsy suite and instruments on a daily basis.
  • Respond to scenes and medical facilities as needed.
  • Engage with various public and private entities professionally.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of an Associate's Degree or relevant Certification in the medical field is required.
  • A valid Motor Vehicle License is mandatory.
  • Standard immunizations are necessary for this role.
  • Candidates must undergo a medical evaluation for respirator fit testing.
