Patent Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Patent Analyst with expertise in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Biotechnology to join our team at Clarivate Analytics.
This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your technical knowledge and experience in patent research and analysis to support our contract with the US Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO).
Key Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive searches to identify relevant prior art and provide a logical and complete search history.
- Prepare written opinions applying the most relevant prior art to the disclosure.
- Maintain proficiency with commercial patent searching databases and other proprietary databases of technical publications.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices and changes to search procedures via self-directed review of materials provided by Clarivate.
- Ensure compliance with Clarivate's Code of Business Ethics and Corporate Conduct.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field.
- 1+ year of experience working with patents or in the intellectual property field.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to complete projects against deadlines.
- Experience with Orbit, PatBase, Google Scholar, or PatSeer.
- Master's degree or PhD in a related field.
- Previous patent examining/patent searching experience.
- Highly skilled in developing a search methodology and conducting searches.
