The Community You Will Serve:

AdventHealth Tampa is recognized nationally for its innovations in cardiovascular care, including prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and research.

We are pioneers in surgical techniques, being the first in the area to utilize advanced robotics in spine surgery.

We are constructing a new six-story surgical and patient care facility that will provide state-of-the-art medical services for future generations.

We have received the Get With The Guidelines Stroke GOLD Quality Achievement Award from the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association and have been acknowledged as a Primary Stroke Center by The Joint Commission.

Your Role:

Under general supervision, you will oversee all billing functions for designated payer accounts. You will maintain effective communication with all payers, consistently liaising with provider representatives and contract managers. You will monitor accounts receivable by reviewing payer account logs, ensuring timely processing of accounts, and identifying any barriers to payment. You will report any issues identified during quarterly meetings with governmental agencies. You will also perform supervisory duties in the absence of the Manager and actively engage in delivering exceptional customer service while fostering respectful relationships.

Your Contributions to the Team:

You will plan, develop, organize, and supervise daily operations related to payments, denials, correspondence, and credit balances. You will be responsible for the outcomes of insurance reimbursements in your assigned areas.

You will monitor accounts receivable by reviewing logs, ensuring timely billing, and addressing any delays in payment. You will follow up with payers and contract managers as necessary for resolution and report issues during quarterly meetings.

You will oversee accounts pending billing and ensure compliance with payer requirements and federal regulations, escalating issues as needed.

You will establish and maintain strong relationships with all payers, ensuring adherence to contract terms and taking appropriate actions when necessary.

You will keep the team informed of departmental changes and updates through regular meetings, including any required continuing education.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills and Experience:

A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Patient Access or Patient Financial Services, including at least two years in a supervisory role.
