PlayStation Platform Ecosystem Specialist

At Sony Interactive Entertainment, we're seeking a highly skilled PlayStation Platform Ecosystem Specialist to join our game integration and validation platform team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for enabling games to make full and exciting use of the PlayStation Platform Ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prototype a cross-platform game codebase looking at PlayStation-specific features across multiple generations of the PlayStation platform
  • Develop new features, perform performance analysis, optimize systems, maintain existing systems, and diagnose failures
  • Collaborate with Principal engineers to define technical specifications for large systems
  • Partner with other engineers to develop tools and processes that improve efficiency and quality
  • Demonstrate expertise/ownership in at least one major area of the codebase
  • Mentor, empower, and inspire other engineers

Requirements:

  • BS or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related degree
  • Strong C/C++ experience with understanding of multi-threaded and multi-core software development
  • Knowledgeable about network protocols
  • Understanding of game networking systems and technologies
  • Strong data structures and algorithms knowledge
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work as a part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Mathematics
  • 8 or more years of software development in C/C++ programming
  • Experience with Unreal Engine and/or AAA proprietary game engine
  • Experience with off-the-shelf anti-cheat products, such as Easy Anti-Cheat or BattlEye
