Early Learning Assistant Teacher

At the Diocese of St. Augustine, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Learning Assistant Teacher to join our team at St. Anne's Early Learning Center. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children to grow and develop.
Responsibilities:- Assist in planning and implementing a culturally sensitive educational program that meets the unique needs of each child.
- Support the lead teacher in creating daily lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Conduct ongoing assessments and maintain accurate documentation of each child's progress.
- Develop and maintain a safe and healthy learning environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective educational program.
- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: DCF 45-hour training or equivalent experience in a child care setting.
- Knowledge of child growth and development, as well as developmentally appropriate practices for children ages birth to 5 years.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Must pass a background check and complete required training and certifications.
The Early Learning Assistant Teacher will work in a moderate noise level environment and may be required to work some evenings and weekends. The position requires the ability to lift up to 30 pounds and to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
