Job Summary

We are seeking an Electrical Controls Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely troubleshooting, changing, installing, and commissioning all components of mechanical and electrical systems. This includes, but is not limited to, motors, MCC's, VFD's, transformers, switch gears, lighting, relays, Programmable Logic Controllers, overhead crane controls, distribution system wiring, and running conduit. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical safety, troubleshooting skills, decision-making skills, problem analysis, and conflict management skills, particularly in pressure situations.

Key Responsibilities

The Electrical Controls Specialist will be responsible for:
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable safety standards and procedures
  • Troubleshooting and repairing electrical equipment
  • Executing equipment repair procedures
  • Ensuring good housekeeping in work areas
  • Entering equipment repair history and closing out work orders
  • Updating repair procedures as needed

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Electrical Mechanical Technician in an industrial manufacturing facility
  • Demonstrated commitment to electrical safety
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Decision-making skills
  • Problem analysis and conflict management skills
  • Experience with pneumatic systems, mechanical systems, medium voltage troubleshooting and repair, and knowledge of NFPA 70E, NEC, and applicable OSHA standards
