About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Supervisor to join our Supply Chain team at PPL Services Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a professional team in sourcing operations, ensuring internal customer satisfaction, and driving cost-effective services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of professional buyers and support staff in sourcing key materials and services to support business area operations and capital projects.
  • Supervise daily activities to ensure internal customer satisfaction, even workload distribution, and backup support during times of vacation, extended illness, or absence.
  • Act as a primary contact for business area leaders regarding the acquisition of materials and services.
  • Provide direction, guidance, and coaching to subordinates and prepare performance reviews.
  • Interface with Supply Chain teams and supervisors to plan and implement strategic initiatives and allocate workloads and resources.
  • Identify and coordinate the planning for or acquisition of materials and services with other Supply Chain teams and supervisors.
  • Assess the skills of the Sourcing professional and support staff to ensure proper training and development.
  • Interface and plan effectively with project management, engineering, operations, IT, budgeting, and logistics' staff to lead collaboration and optimize joint processes.
  • Build ongoing vendor relationships, manage supplier risk and performance, and implement efficient sourcing strategies.
  • Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
  • Promote, execute, and track goals and results of supplier diversity and corporate sustainability initiatives.
  • May be assigned an emergency and storm restoration role, requiring work after-hours or outside of normal schedule.
  • Serve as an advocate for effective change management and support organizational goals for benefits derived from system and process integrations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • A minimum of five years of sourcing or related experience, including experience with negotiation of commercial Terms and Conditions.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Two or more years of electric or gas utility operations sourcing experience.
  • Lean and/or Six Sigma certification or equivalent program.
  • Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management degree.
  • Experience in utility operations.
  • Strong skills in data analytics.
  • Master of Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business Administration degree.
