Oil States International is seeking a skilled Welder Fitter I to join our team in Houma, Louisiana.

This position is responsible for performing basic set-ups and fundamental welds to specification. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of six months prior experience and be certified on 1G Plate.

The successful candidate will be able to prepare pre-cut parts or construct parts by cutting with a torch, grind pieces to fit and assemble for welding according to drawings or other specifications, and apply type and size weld required according to specifications.

The Welder Fitter I will also be responsible for inspecting welds for defects, cleaning for testing, and checking blueprints for measurements and proper material. Additionally, the candidate will maintain a clean and safe work area and keep equipment in good working order.

The ideal candidate will have good verbal communication skills, ability to follow both simple and complex instructions, and basic mathematical skills to include measurement computations.

Responsibilities:

Requirements:

  • Minimum of six months prior experience

Working Conditions:

  • Frequent bending, standing, kneeling, sitting, crouching, reaching, pushing/pulling, climbing and awkward body positioning
  • Lifting and carrying requirement of 45 pounds
