OHM Advisors is currently seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. In this role, you will be involved in the design process from initial concept through to project completion, engaging in a variety of projects such as water management, site planning, environmental assessments, transportation systems, and construction oversight. Our firm is dedicated to innovative mixed-use developments and public-private partnerships that foster community growth.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate effectively within a team to uphold OHM Advisors' mission of community advancement.
- Enhance your skills with design and analysis software including AutoCAD, MicroStation, ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, and EPA/PC-SWMM.
- Conduct site visits and gather field data to inform analyses and recommendations.
- Engage with project managers and clients to develop studies, reports, engineering recommendations, and construction documentation.
- Organize and manage task schedules to ensure project timelines are met.
- Commit to ongoing education and skill development through training, conferences, and professional organizations.
- Contribute to the Greater Louisville office's objectives while supporting teams across other offices.
- Assist in project design using analysis tools and software such as AutoCAD, Civil3D, Hydraflow, and AutoTurn.
- Under the guidance of a Project Manager, prepare site design plans covering layout, utility services, grading, drainage, stormwater management, erosion control, and construction details.
- Develop a foundational understanding of engineering principles, industry standards, and design methodologies to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Civil or Municipal Engineering or a related discipline.
- Possession of Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
- A strong passion for community service and professional growth.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, proactive attitude, and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in Civil 3D, HydroCAD, and MS Office Suite.
