Job Description

This is a critical role responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing roads and other infrastructure assets. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining contracted assets, such as roadways, medians, signs, guardrails, fences, bridges, tunnels, vegetation, and litter removal, per standards in the contract and as directed by the supervisor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance, servicing, and repairs of roads and other infrastructure assets.
  • Set up and remove traffic control devices, including cones, message/arrow boards, temporary signage, etc.
  • Perform basic landscape maintenance, such as mowing, line trimming, backpack spot spraying, and weed pulling when required.
  • Operate trucks, specialized motor vehicles, and trailers to transport crew and equipment to work sites.
  • Contribute to a diverse, inclusive, and fair work environment, free from discrimination, bullying, and harassment.
  • Maintain and repair highway and other surfaces, including potholes, striping, adding or replacing reflectors, working with concrete and asphalt.
  • Removal and installation of roadway delineators, Raised Pavement Markers (RPM), and guardrail repair.
  • Effectively and efficiently execute all work requirements using a range of small, medium, and large tools and equipment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in infrastructure maintenance or a related field.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record required to drive a company vehicle.
  • CDL, DOT/MTO certifications, Electrical and Welding Certifications highly desirable.
  • Ability to pass and obtain Advanced MOT Certification desirable.
Work Environment

This role requires frequent exposure to outdoor conditions, including extreme heat, cold, wet, and humid weather. The successful candidate must be able to stand, sit, walk on a wide range of surfaces, use hands, fingers, handle, physically feel, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and clearly speak and hear. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and use labor-intensive and powered pneumatic, hydraulic, gas, and electric powered tools and equipment.

The successful candidate will be required to work at elevated places/locations, such as working from bucket trucks, scaffolding, ladders, and aerial platforms lifts, and work in confined spaces.
